[N_1+N_2]构式的认知机制及指称义消解

On Cognitive Mechanism and Reduction of Referential Meaning in [N_1+ N_2]Construction

文章基于认知语法视角,对英语名词定语(N_1)修饰中心词(N_2)的认知机制和指称义消解进行研究。研究发现:[N_1+N_2]构式中,N_1作定语形成的认知机制是侧显转移,由凸显事体的名词义转化为凸显非时间性关系的关系义;名词作定语压制了其指称功能;话语参与者与指称事体间的心智连接,是通过N_1对N_2的限制和植入的情境,指引听者的注意力从N_2表示的类概念达及构式表达的次类概念和言者所意指的实例最终达成的。

The present study makes an exploration on the cognitive mechanism and the referential meaning reduction of the English noun attribute modifying the head noun from the perspective of cognitive grammar. It is found that the cognitive mechanism of N_1 is formed from the shift of nominal predication which designates a thing to the relational predication with a non-temporal relation; the referential function of noun attribute is overridden; the mental contact between the participants and the referential thing is realized by the modification of N_1 and the grounding elements,which guides the listener's attention to reach the referential thing from the schematic type conception of N_2 and the subtype conception of the construction [N_1+ N_2].
