Negritude(黑人精神)从nègre改造而来,是非洲黑人作家用来表达非洲黑人种族优秀品质的术语。非洲黑人作家借助这个术语描写和颂扬黑人优秀品质,从伦理上为黑人找回自信与自尊。黑人精神是黑人诗歌突出的色彩,黑人诗歌是黑人精神传播的媒介。在非洲黑人诗歌创作中,黑人精神已经变成了非洲诗人创作诗歌的伦理价值的内核,变成了非洲诗人如何认识和评价非洲黑人、确认非洲黑人身份、认识非洲黑人价值以及黑人如何反抗种族歧视和争取平等地位的原则和观念。黑人精神作为非洲文学的伦理,已经成为一种强大的精神力量,在引领非洲黑人从事文学创作、加强非洲黑人民族自信、反对种族歧视和争取民族平等方面发挥重要作用。黑人精神已经超越了文学领域,渗透社会的各个领域,变成了非洲黑人新的伦理传统。

The negritude was coined from the word nègre,which is the term used by African black writers to express the ethnic qualities of African black race. By this word,African black writers narrate and praise good qualities of black people ethically for the retrieve of their confidence and self-respect. The negritude is the highlight color of those poems written by black poets as media of spread for black spirit. In the black poems,the negritude is the ethical core of ethical value for poetry writing,and ideas and ethic for black poets to recognize and evaluate African blacks,confirm their black identities,discover black value and to fight against racism and for equals. As the ethics of literature,the negritude had become the powerful and spiritual force to drive African writers to write their own people,to speak up their confidence and fight against discrimination.The negritude is the new ethical tradition not only in literature but also in other social fields.
