The application of market segmentation theory in the library field provides a way for library user segmentation.The library’s precise service for subdivided industries should be close to users’ habits,and user group classification standards accurately matching users’ demand are supposed to be established.Library can provide to users the precise service of information push,subject consultation,resources navigation,etc.On this basis,through measures of pinpointing service goal,analyzing user behavior characteristics,developing precise service plan,the smooth implementation of precise information service is guaranteed.
