司马迁与徐霞客都是古代著名旅行家,他们所游之地有多处相重,其旅游有共同特色;重视边疆政治形势,透露爱国之情,十分关注民生发展与各地风俗习尚。但各有重点,司马迁偏重于"史",而徐霞客偏重于"地"。俩人的特色旅游给后人以启示。

Sima Qian and Xu Xiake, both of them, were the famous ancient travelers and the places where they traveled were the same in part. Besides, Sima Qian and Xu Xiake shared some ideas in travelling that both of them paid attention to the political situation of frontier field, the conditions of people＊ s livelihood, and customs and habits in some local area, with certain different fo-cus that Sima Qian stressed on the historical matters and Xu Xiake on the geographical observation, which can offer some important enlightenments to our later generations.
