中国英语能力等级量表的研制——语用能力的界定与描述 被引量:62

Defining and describing pragmatic ability in China's Standards of English

摘要 对语用能力做出描述是当代语言能力等级量表不可或缺的内容。本文在评述CEFR和CLB关于语用能力界定和描述基础上,通过对语用能力涵义的考察,依据中国英语能力等级量表理论框架,提出下列观点:1)从话语意图的理解和表达界定语用能力;2)语用能力由语用理解能力和语用表达能力组成;3)语言知识,包括语用知识,是语用理解和表达的基础;4)语用表达的效果取决于表达的得体程度。本文同时对语用理解能力、语用表达能力、语用知识和得体性进行了界定,进而构建了中国英语能力等级量表语用能力描述框架。 After a concise review of the concept of pragmatic competence and its description in CEFR and CLB,this paper defines pragmatic ability as the capacity of interpreting and expressing the language user's intention in line with the theoretical framework of China's Standards of English(CSE).Language knowledge(including both organizational and pragmatic)and strategic competence underpin language userscapacity to interpret and express their intention.The effectiveness of one's expression is determined by the appropriateness in his verbal behavior in a particular situation.The paper finally illustrates the framework for describing pragmatic ability in CSE.
