The Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the Further Development of National Historical Studies

党的十九大对推动我们党和国家各项事业都具有重大而深远的意义,对于促进中华人民共和国史研究事业向前发展同样具有重要意义。作为国史工作者,我们应结合新中国历史和国史研究实际学习十九大精神。充分认识中国特色社会主义进入新时代对于在新中国历史中划分出一个新时期的重要意义;认识把改革开放前后两个历史时期经验贯通总结、融汇运用对于校正改革开放前进航向的重要意义;认识树立正确历史观对于批判历史虚无主义、深入开展党史国史教育的重要意义。

The 19th CPC National Congress has imposed great significance on the promotion of the CPC and national issues as well as the development of national historical studies of the People's Republic of China. As scholars of national history, we should associate our studies on New China history and national history with studying the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. We should fully recognize the great role of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era in distinguishing a new historical phase of the PRC,grasp the significance of connecting, summarizing and blending the experience from pre-and post-implementing the opening-up and reform policy for rectifying the course of opening-up and reform, and comprehend the importance of establishing correct historical perception against historical nihilism and furthering the education concerning the CPC and national history.
