This paper illustrates the marketing and technologies for preparing pentanal by mixed C4 and the source of mixed C4. The marketing prospect, related technologies which have been applied in current industrial productions as well as the domestic research of pentanal are specially discussed. On such basis,the future development of pentanal preparation by mixed C4 is summarized for the reference of future research.
