摘要
欧文·白璧德,美国哈佛大学教授,以其为代表的新人文主义运动历时二十余年,涉及伦理、文学、教育、历史等诸多领域。透过白璧德的著作,可发现其关于教育的独特见解,运用到当今教育实践中同样具备良好的现实意义。与此同时,白璧德还对古代佛学、中华儒学展开了深入研究,并对该部分研究与西方文明展开充分结合,因而,对白璧德新人文主义教育思想开展研究,有助于认识异域学者的思想模式,对从不同角度提炼我国传统文化亦十分有价值。通过阐述白璧德人文主义,分析白璧德人文主义教育思想的现实意义,对白璧德人文主义教育思想的教学启示展开探讨,旨在为如何促进对白璧德人文主义思想的科学合理运用研究适用提供一些思路。
Irving Babbitt,graduated and taught as a professor from Harvard University in the United States,was an outstanding representative of the new humanism movement in the United States in the early 19 th century,which had a great effect on ethics,literature,education,history and many other fields.Various unique views of education found in his works are also of great practical significance for today's education practice.In addition,Babbitt also studied ancient Buddhism and Confucianism,and combined his research with western civilization.Therefore,the study of Irving Babbitt's educational thought of new humanism helps to understand the thought patterns of foreign scholars,and it is also very valuable for extracting traditional Chinese culture from different angles.Based on expounding Babbitt's humanism and analyzing the significance of his humanistic education thought,this article made a discussion about the teaching enlightenment of Babbitt's educational thought of humanism,so as to provide some ideas for the promotion of the using research of Babbitt's humanism thought.
