自张骞"凿空"之后,后人称为"丝绸之路"的交通线路提供了东西文化交流的新的条件。"商胡贩客"纷纷入塞,参与了汉地都市经济生活,促进了市场在国际因素影响下的繁荣。都城洛阳作为东汉王朝的政治、经济、文化中心,具有世界性都市的地位,也成为"西域贾胡"们活跃表演的商贸据点。而洛阳居民对域外商品的高等级消费需求,也通过市场得到满足。东汉洛阳市场的国际化倾向,应当受到经济史、丝绸之路史以及中国古代文化交流史研究者的关注。
After Zhang Qian connected Han Dynasty with kingdoms in Central and West Asia through diplomaticefforts, the so-called Silk Road paved way for culture exchange between East and West in the ancient world, throughwhich the merchants and vendors from Central Asia entered,participated in and boomed ancient China's urban life.Luoyang, as Eastern Han dynasty's political, economic and cultural center, became a cosmopolis and foreignmerchants' business hub where the locals' demands for luxury foreign goods were met. The internationalizationtendency of Luoyang in Eastern Han dynasty deserves attention from experts on economic history, Silk Road Historyand ancient China's cultural exchange history.
