摘要
在当代知识论中,探讨经验知识,给予论是一个无法回避的问题。刘易斯是第一位论述当代知识论意义上给予论的学者。"直观无概念则盲"是刘易斯给予论的逻辑起点,也为其实用主义的实在论服务。从"直观无概念则盲"导出给予是消极被动的,而概念是主动、自发的;给予仅给我们使用概念时提供对象,给予与概念的互动建构了知识的对象。因此,给予具有认知地位且发挥基础主义的作用。
Theories on “ the given” is an inevitable problem, if we discuss empirical knowledge in contemporary epistemology. C. I. Lewis was the first scholar to use the term “ the given”Intuition is blind without concept” is the logical starting point of Lewis" theory and serves as conceptual pragmatism as well. In addition,“ the given” is passive, however, the concept is active. “The given” affords the objects while using the concept. Interaction of “ the given ” and the concept constructs the object of knowledge. Hence,the given plays cognitive and functional roles in the justification of knowledge.
