近日,新兴高频用语"怼"随着媒体和综艺的传播从网络语言泛化到大众日常口语中,"怼"为动词,其常用义为动作领域的"撞"或语言领域的"顶撞"。"怼"不仅具有动词的一般用法,而且一经产生就形成了一系列的词语,如"互怼""狂怼""怼神"和"怼王"。但是,近日兴起的这个"怼"既不是新造词,也不是上古汉语《说文解字》中收录的"怼",其词义也不是由上古汉语"怼"的词义发展演变而来。"怼"的本字另有其字,据考证,其本字为源自宋代《集韵》中的"■","怼"只是本有其字的假借。

Recently, " 怼(dui)" has become a popular character of daily spoken language with the meaning of "hit" or "contradict". Besides the common usage as a verb, there have formed many words with it. However, " 怼(dui)" is not a newly-created character neither the one collected in Shuo Wen Jie Zi. Its meaning does not evolve from that of the one in old Chinese. There is another original character for it. It is found that its original character is "■" in Ji Yun in the Song dynasty and "怼(dui)" is a borrowed character from it.
