Mission and Role of Philosophy and Social Sciences

从事哲学社会科学工作,要树立责任意识,敢于立时代之潮头、善于通古今之变化、勇于发思想之先声,以崇高的责任和使命,致力于中国特色社会主义伟大事业中;要树立规律意识,遵循哲学社会科学学科的系统性、专业性、逻辑性,尊重学科发展的内在规律,尊重学者的自由探索,努力营造积极宽松的学术环境。作为哲学社会科学工作者,更应当注重加强自我锻造和淬炼,不断提升学术研究的能力和水平;要围绕重大理论和时代问题,进行深入透彻的理论阐释,认真研究和总结提炼我国改革发展、社会主义建设及党的建设的成功经验,研究治国理政的客观规律,增强人民群众走中国特色社会主义道路的坚定性和自觉性,为中国梦的实现提供坚实的理论支撑和鲜明的道路指引。

Engaged in the work of philosophy and social sciences, we should establish a sense of responsibility,dare to stand in the forefront of the times, do well in understanding the changes from ancient times to the present, take the courage to speak out, take the lofty responsibility and mission, and devote ourselves to the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics; we should establish a sense of law, follow the systematicness,professionality and logicality of the philosophy and social science disciplines, respect the inherent laws of discipline development, respect scholars' free exploration, and strive to create a positive and relaxed academic environment. As a philosophical and social science worker, we should pay more attention to strengthening self-forging and tempering, and continuously improve the capability and level of academic research; we should thoroughly explain the theories in depth around major theories and the issues of the times, seriously study and summarize the successful experience of our country's reform and development, socialist construction and party building, study the objective law of governing the country, strengthen people's firmness and conscientiousness in following the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and provide a solid theoretical support and a clear guidance to the realization of the Chinese dream.
