In order to meet the needs of the assessment of individualiodine nutrition at all levels of health care system, the standardof “Determination of iodine in serum - As3＋- Ce4＋ catalyticspectrophotometry” was formulated. The appropriate digestionconditions and determination conditions were chosen in this standardmethod. The new method has the advantages of wide linear range, lowdetection limit, higher precision and accuracy, strong anti-interferenceability, simpler equipment, low pollution, low cost, easily batch testingand wide applicability.
