The Latest Trends in the U.S. Graduate Journalism and Communication Education and Their Implications

在"融媒体"时代,新闻的生产机制、报道方式、传媒生态和运营模式都在重塑之中。此前,分类明晰的基于传统媒体而生的新闻与传播专业高等教育模式面临挑战,急需调整,以应对新的知识、技术和实践需求。本文基于对美国顶尖高校新闻与传播专业研究生教育最近几年教学改革的调研,从教学体系和课程设置两个方面,呈现全球新闻教育模式改革的趋势,以期为国内新闻与传播教育改革提供借鉴。

In the omnimedia era, the production, reporting and delivering of news, as well as the whole media ecosystem, are all under transformation. Therefore, the former clear- cut journalism and communication education which is based on traditional media must be updated to embrace new challenges. This paper presents a review and summarizes the trends of the latest reform of degree program and curriculum in the United States graduate journalism and communication education system, so as to provide guidance to China.
