On the Development of Private Universities From the Game Playing between the Ideal and the Reality——Take the Private Chinese Public Schools as the Object of Historical Investigation

在欧风美雨中飘摇的近代中国,几乎各个领域都经历着"新陈代谢"。就教育领域而言,自然无一例外。文章以私立中国公学为个案,通过对其办学理想与现实困境之间博弈情况的考察,以希加深对近代私立大学发展历程的理解。

Almost every field of the modern China, which is shaking in the influences of western culture and civilization, hasgone through the ＂metabolism＂. Naturally, the education field is without exception. Taking private Chinese public schools as a casestudy, this paper researched the contradiction between the ideal of runninga school and the predicament of reality, to deepen theunderstanding of the development of modern private universities.
