摘要
采用定性和定量的方法,对英语专业本科生进行为期一学期的PBL教学实践,探索了培养英语专业本科生自主探究的课堂新模式。研究指出,PBL模式有助于提高学生英语学习兴趣,自主学习、组员间合作、批判性思维、和英文做报告方面的能力,尤其反应在PPT制作和文献查找上,还有利于学业考试成绩的提升,口语和阅读的效果格外明显。该研究结果对我国英语专业课堂教学和教育发展的进一步改革具有一定的启示和参考价值。
By adopting quantitative and qualitative methods for a period of one semester, this paper conducts PBL model toacademic English teaching so as to explorea new classroom model in cultivating English majors’ability for autonomous learning.The study shows the PBL model is favor of improving their interest, autonomous learning, group member’s corporation, criticalthinking and making class presentation in English. In particular, it is effective in making PowerPoint as well as literature search.Besides, it is effective in improving academic achievement, especially in speaking and reading. These findings provide implications and reference for reforming Chinese English majors’classroom teaching and educational development.
