西方文明的困境——后物质主义如何应对全球化的挑战

数百年前西方人发起、推进并主导的全球化，把全世界都卷进了它的漩涡，如今，这个全球化进程却开始反噬他们自己。于是，西方社会的全球化战略出现了某种调整和收缩的迹象，有人将其称为“逆全球化”甚至“反全球化”。如何解释这个现象？在这里，我尝试将西方发达社会作为一个整体，即西方文明，援引当代政治文化研究大师英格尔哈特（Ronaid F．Inglehart）教授的“后物质主义”理论，分析进入后现代的西方文明在新的全球化环境下所面临的特殊困境。
