Humanistic Care Instills in Life Time and Space: Interpretation of the Theme of Philip Larkin's Poetry

菲利普·拉金是20世纪英国最重要的运动派诗人,他的诗歌以书写平凡见长,在冷峻灰暗的描摹中展现了战后英国的人文景观、城市景观。文章在总览拉金主要诗歌作品的基础上,集中研判其主题的内涵与走向,发现用三个层面可以精准概括:对时间意识所代表的生存与死亡的哲学思考;对英国人战后最真实的生活图景的描绘;灵魂深处信仰幻灭后对永恒的追求,这一切都可归结为拉金对人性的反思和人文主义关怀。

Philip Larkin is the most important movement poet in Britain in the twentieth century. His poems are famous for writing the ordinary and showing the post-war British cultural and urban landscape in the cold and gray strokes. By exploring the theme of Larkin＇s poems, this paper categorizes the theme and analyzes it from three aspects： the philosophical thinking on survival and death represented by the time consciousness, the real life of the British after the war and the pursuit of eternity in the depth of their soul after disillusionment. All these can be attributed to Larkin＇s reflection on human nature and his humanistic care.
