论南社学者古直的古典诗学研究

Studies on Classical Poetics of the Nanshe Scholar Gu Zhi

古直(1885-1959)为南社广东分社的著名学者,早年参加同盟会和南社,1921年辞官归隐,沉潜于古典诗学研究。1925年后执教于中山大学,专注于古典文学教育与研究。古直一生中撰述约26种古典诗学论著,研究领域十分广泛,上至汉代、魏晋诗歌与诗学批评,下至近代黄遵宪等人的诗文笺注;研究方法既有传统的笺注、年谱编纂如《钟记室诗品笺》《陶靖节诗笺》和《诸葛忠武侯年谱》等,又有专门论述如《汉诗辩证》《汉诗研究》。古直的古典诗学研究与民国时期的批评风气密切相关,其古典文学研究的价值仍值得重视。通过整理古直的诗学研究成果,考察其研究方法、诗学思想与研究特色,可以进一步从民国古典文学批评的视阈思考古直学术研究与文化立场的关系。

Gu Zhi(1885-1959)was a well-known scholar in the Cantonese branch of Nanshe(the Southern Society).During the late Qing period,he joined the Chinese revolutionary league and Nanshe.In 1921,he resigned the official post and devoted himself to studies on classical Chinese literature.After 1925,he taught at Sun Yat-sen University and focused on classical literature education and research.During his lifetime,Gu Zhi wrote twenty-six critical works on classical poetry with a broad range of research period and methods.His research was closely related to the critical trends in the period of the Republic of China and his contribution is worth reevaluation.Through examining Gu Zhi’s research methods,characteristics and his poetics,this paper investigates the relation between Gu Zhi’s academic research and cultural position from the perspective of classical literature studies in the period of the Republic of China.
