The CCP's Religious Views During the Anti-Japanese War: A Case Study of Xin Hua Ribao

抗日战争爆发以后,中国共产党通过《新华日报》报道了大量与宗教相关的内容,并借此向外界宣传了自身的宗教观。中国共产党的宗教观主要分为三个方面:积极争取教徒,引导其参加抗战;正面客观报道宗教界的抗日救亡活动;以俄为师专设政府机构管理宗教事务,并努力践行宗教自由政策。质而言之,抗日战争时期中国共产党的宗教观,反映了中国共产党在抗日民族统一战线的影响下,对于自身与宗教关系的自我调适与更新。

The Chinese Communist Party(CCP)reported a large amount of religious content and propagated their religious views through Xinhua Ribao during the Anti-Japanese War.The CCP's religious views covered three aspects:active mobilization of Christians to participate in the Anti-Japanese war;positive and objective report of the anti-Japanese activities of religious individuals and groups;establishing governmental agency to manage religious affairs by referring to Soviet Union and striving to practice the policy of religious liberty.In essence,influenced by the Anti-Japanese National United Front,the CCP's religious views underwent a self-adjustment and renewal in its relation with religion during the Anti-Japanese War.
