The main characteristics of the wide-band traveling-wave tubes （TWTs） and the microwave power modules （MPMs） in the electronic warfare equipment are introduced , the current situation and future trend of high-efficiency downsized wide-band TWTs is described , and the unit power characteristics of the wide wave beam for electronic countermeasure （ECM） as well as the application requirements, such as missile and unmanned aerial vehicle （UAV）, for high-efficiency high-power and high-temperature TWT amplifiers are analyzed. The latest development of ultra-miniature TWTs and MPMs at home and abroad are introduced in the paper.
