Epitaph of a good German: On the opera 170 Days in Nanking

从什么时候起，德国人约翰拉贝走入了我们从的视野？江苏人民出版社和江苏教育出版社1997年出版的《拉贝日记》，是这部长期尘封且具重要价值的珍贵文献首次面世，从此中国人记住了他的名字和事迹。

Between December 13 and 15, the original opera 170 Days in Nanking premiered in Nanjing with a creative team including composer Tang Jianping,playwright Zhou Ke(with librettist You Weizhi) and director Elijah Moshinsky. This world premiere, presented on the day of the public memorial of the 80^(th) anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, was a remarkable feat.
