The healthy and stable operation of the power industry is an important guarantee for the further development of China＇s economy. With the deepening of the market reform in the electric power industry, the establishment of the electric power futures market has become more and more urgent. This paper introduces the power futures market of England, Australia, Nordic Europe and the United States, and the reasons and process of introducing electric power futures market. Then we further analyze the achievements of electric power futures market,as well as the inspiration to China.
