摘要 城市空间中呈现在各式标牌上的书写文字构成当地的语言景观。作为现实语言环境的重要组成部分,语言景观在语言教学与习得过程中常被视为一个有力的教育工具和重要的输入来源。本文从偶发性学习、语言意识、语言能力等方面探讨语言景观对二语/外语教学的价值和作用,以及校园语言景观对少数族群语言复兴的意义。语言教师可设计多层面的语言景观教学活动,让学习者习得语言的同时了解社会。将语言景观作为一种教学资源和工具纳入二语/外语教学中,会对语言学习带来诸多裨益。 Language used in public and commercial signs constitutes linguistic landscape of urban public space. As a key component of physical location, linguistic landscape is often viewed as a powerful educational tool and a vital source of language input in language teaching, learning and acquisition. This paper examines the roles and values of linguistic landscape for language education in the per- spectives of incidental learning, language awareness and literacy skills. It also illustrates the functions of linguistic landscape in schools to revitalize minority languages. Language teachers can use linguistic landscape as an instrument in designing nuanced and multilayered learning activities to help learners understand the society as well as learn the texts. This paper concludes that the integration of linguis- tic landscape as a pedagogical resource and tool brings a wide range of benefits to language learning.
