座落于东海北戴河区沙滩上的三联海边图书馆是一座长方形建筑物。浅灰的外墙衬托着浅灰色的沙滩,和谐一致。从图书馆面向海洋的一面,全天候玻璃墙和一系列玻璃门把开扬景观和自然光带进室内,海景尽入每位读者眼帘。海边图书馆充分利用大海这个大自然的杰作,增进阅读的乐趣。
The boxy library building sits in the middle of a sandy beach in the Beidaihe District on the East China seaboard. The grey walls echo the colour of the sand. Facing the ocean, a glass wall and a series of pivoting glass doors bring the view and natural night into the cavernous main reading room. The Seashore Library becomes a physical nexus for users to be immersed in both the joy of reading and the wonder of nature.
