Words and Ideas Relations Between He Jingtang's Architectural Conceptions and Formal Language

首先,以何镜堂教授的著作为论述焦点、以比较哲学领域对理论与实践之关联的论述为主要资源,提出对何镜堂教授"两观三性"论的新诠释。其次,以何镜堂教授的泰州民俗文化展示中心作为论述对象、以推敲场地条件及建筑材料的具体考虑为焦点,探讨对"地域性"的新认识。本文重点引用了3位欧洲哲人(翁贝托·艾柯、保罗·威尔洛及让-吕克·南希)的著作,验证了何镜堂教授的建筑思维与欧洲当代语境的密切关联。在这其中包含2个问题:如何看待何镜堂教授的设计理念与形式主义的关联;如何利用哲学资源提高对中文词汇分析的分辨率及精确性。

Two aims are pursued in this essay： first, focusing on the writings of Professor He Jingtang and drawing mainly on the resources of recent works in comparative philosophy, this paper proposes a new interpretation of Prof. He＇s views on ＂two views and three natures.＂ Second, taking Prof. He＇s design for the Taizhou Local Culture Exhibition Centre as the object of commentary, with a focus on site conditions and the use of architectural materials, it offers a new understanding of architectural regionalism. In order to highlight the close relationship between Prof. He＇s architectural thinking and contemporary European discussions, this paper calls attention to the writings of three European thinkers （Umberto Eco, Paolo Virno and Jean-Luc Nancy）. Two questions are addressed as part of this discussion： （1） What is the relationship between Prof. He＇s architectural conceptions and formalism？ （2） How can the use of philosophical writings be useful to enhance the nuanced and precise analysis of Chinese vocabulary？
