从关联理论看字幕翻译的归化与异化策略——以《我不是潘金莲》字幕翻译为例

Adaptation and Alienation in Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Relevance Theory

翻译不仅仅是语言符号的转换,更多的是一种文化转换的模式。在处理文化差异大的文本时,翻译界有两种主张,即以目的语文化为归宿的归化和以原语文化为归宿的异化。这两种策略都有其存在的价值,是相互补充的。《我不是潘金莲》这部影片的字幕翻译以归化为主,异化为辅,建立了受众与原作之间的最佳关联,保证了目的语受众获得愉悦顺畅的观影体验。

translation is not only the transformation of different linguistic symbols but more of a pattern of cul- tural conversion. Dealing with texts of huge cultural disparities, there exist two proposals in the circle of transla- tion. One is adaptation, target language culture oriented and the other is alienation, source language culture orien- ted. Both strategies have values and are complementary to each other. This article, based on a case analysis of the movie I Am Not Madame Bovaryand under the guidance of the translation view of relevance theory, explores how to apply the two strategies to achieve successful intercultural communication.
