Henry H.Remak and Parallel Study

本文以比较文学美国学派代表亨利·雷马克比较文学思想为参照,探讨其与比较文学平行研究间的关系。通过分析雷马克所述平行研究的四个维度与实践,解读其在比较文学发展史上的地位和作用,本文认为,雷马克比较文学思想是对比较文学研究传统的反叛,且已经包含着中国学派比较文学"四跨"的雏形,并为中国学派的跨文明比较文学研究铺平了道路;同时,他的平行研究理论与实践为比较文学研究者起到了积极的示范作用,不愧为比较文学的"良心"与比较文学健康发展的守望者。

With reference to Henry H. Remak, a representative of American School of comparative literature （ CL）, this essay probes into the relationship of his thoughts and par- allel study in CL, analyzes his four dimensions, together with his practice, and tries to study his influence on CL. Through our study, we come to know Remak＇s revolutionary thoughts shed light on the four characteristics of Chinese School of CL, and they also pave the way for the Chinese School characterized by cross-cultural studies. As the ＂conscien- tiousness＂ and watchman of this discipline, Remak＇s thoughts and practice in parallel study are enlightening for other scholars.
