A tentative analysis of adverb-like lianwen in ancient Chinese

古汉语副词性连文由若干不同音节组合而成或由同一个音节相叠而成，结构形式轻松散，内部语序较固定，构成成分一般为副词，其意义与其某一构成成分的意义无大的差别。

The paper describes the part of speech, word order and syllabic structure of the adverblike lianwen in ancient Chinese. Further. it makes a comparison between the lianwen and the synonymous mono-word counterparts. In the end is a description of the expressive effects of lianwen
