An Analysis of Factors that Influence the Timeliness of Commercial Vehicle Logistics on Railway

物流时效性是衡量铁路商品车物流服务质量的关键指标。物流时效性的提高对于加速车辆周转,提高运输效率,降低运输成本,提升铁路运输服务质量具有重要意义。在阐述铁路商品车运输现状的基础上,比较不同运输组织方式下商品车物流时效性,分析影响铁路商品车物流时效性的因素,并针对这些影响因素,提出推进铁路运输与现代物流的融合、发挥铁路规模化运输优势、加强物流基础设施建设、完善专业化信息系统等措施,促进铁路商品车运输服务质量的提高。

Timeliness of shipments in reaching destinations is a key index of railway logistics services. Improvements in timeliness, which are manifested through shortened turnaround times, enhanced transport efficiency and lower costs, have a great significance to the quality of railway freight transport. With an elaboration on the current status of this industry, this paper compares the timeliness of railway logistics under different operational conditions. Factors that may influence the timeliness are found through this comparison. Focusing on these factors, this paper proposes measures that include integrating into modern logistics, taking advantage of large-scale railway transport, strengthening logistics infrastructure and creating a specialized information system to improve railway freight transport.
