嘎塔今年61岁了。第一次见他,是在拉萨平措康桑青年旅社的大厅里,那天晚上是他第一次被邀请在公开场合进行分享,主题是《牧民的一天和一年》。从传统饮食习惯到黑帐篷,从夏季的草场到冬天的大雪,嘎塔散文诗般的叙述语调向在场听众细致描绘着他大半辈子的生活细节,

The first time I met him was in the lobby of the Pingcuokangsang Youth Hostel in Lhasa. This night was the first time he was invited to share opinions in public, with the sharing theme of "Herdsmen’s Day and Year." From traditional eating habits to black tents, from summer pastures to winter heavy snowfalls, Gata described with prose narrative tone to the audience, the life details of most of his life and the work he persists in obscurity in 21 years just because of personal interest.
