Establishing the scientific viewof history involves the fundamental problem of the construction of the socialist core values. The study of students of Shanghai University of Electric Power as a sample shows that contemporary college students 'understanding and evaluation of modern Chinese history's cognition and historical figures and events reflect the diversification of ideological thinking and values of current college students,which is worth the attention of the majority of educators.
