柞伯簋铭文补释

New Interpretation of the Inscription on “Zuo Bo”Bronze Gui

柞伯簋铭文所记西周大射礼的规模及参礼职官的分工与礼书相合,但其所记射仪与礼书有较大差异。铭文中,南宮和师■父分别担任射礼中司射与司马的角色;多士为参与竞射的诸侯、卿士;小子、小臣仅为参与礼事的服务人员。王诰的对象是小子和小臣,"■"应读为"毖",释为"慎诫"。

"Zuobo Gui"inscriptions recorded in the "big shot"ceremony has many aspects and the "ceremony book"to maintain the same,such as size,division of labor,etc. But it recorded the "archery ceremony"but with the book are quite different. In the inscriptions,the roles of Nangong and Shifu are the Sishe and Sima;Duoshi is princes and Qingshi,they have to participate in the archery game. Xiaozi and Xiaochen are only attend the ritual service personnel,they did not participate in the game. The king's command is to say to the Xiaozi and Xiaochen. " ■"the word should be read as "毖",can be interpreted as "caution"means.
