1980年代以来中国文学视阈中的“学衡派”和保守主义思潮

“Xueheng School” and Conservatism in Chinese Contemporary Literature since 1980s

本文就1980年代以来中国文学视域中的"学衡派"和保守主义思潮的关联进行探讨,当前的中国文学和文学批评可以从中获得一些有益的启示。在对新文化运动中激进派和保守派的纷争的追述中,关注到胡适等激进派虽取得胜利而后撤,吴宓等"学衡派"虽失败却能坚持等重要文化现象。并通过纵横比较,指出胡适等人主要是人道主义者,而吴宓等人主要是人文主义者;1980年代中期以来的中国文学中存续的文化保守主义思潮与民国时期"学衡派"的影响也有相当密切的关系。在具体论述中,指出了不同文化派别各自具有的文化价值和历史地位。

This paper discusses the connection between ＂Xueheng School＂ and Conservatism in Chinese Contemporary Literature since 1980s from which the contemporary Chinese literature and literary criticism can get some beneficial enlightenment. With the description of the disputes between the Radical and the Conservative in the New Culture Movement, this paper finds that although Hu Shi and other radicals succeed, they retreated; Wu Mi and other ＂Xueheng school＂ people failed, they still persisted. Through the vertical and horizontal comparison, this paper points out that Hu Shi and other radicals are mainly humanitarian, while Wu Mi and other ＂Xueheng schooL＂ people are mainly humanists; and the CuLtural Conservatism trend in Chinese Literature since mid 1980s has a very close relationship with ＂Xueheng school＂ at the period of the Republic of China. In the specific discussion, this paper also points out the cultural value and historical status of different cultural groups.
