不同的大学精神造就不同的大学,而一流大学精神是一流大学的根基。一流的大学精神是以探究智识、造福人类为目的精神,是独立思考、捍卫真理、无私无畏、纯粹专注的精神。这一精神既是激进的、又是保守的;既是理性的、又是感性的。一流的大学精神涵育一流的人才、一流的学术,唯有如此方可建成"双一流"。生成这一精神需树立以大学师生发展为中心的理念,养成师生独立思考的习惯,开阔师生的眼界并提高师生的境界。

Different university spirits creat different universities,and first-class university spirit is the foundation of first-class university.First-class university spirit is to explore the wisdom,benefit mankind,defend truth,and advocate independent thinking,selflessness and fearlessness as well as pureness and focus.This spirit is both radical and conservative;it is both rational and emotional.Firstclass university spirit inclusive of first-class talent and first-class academic,is the sole way to construct " double first class".To nurture this spirit is based upon the establishment of the development concept with university teachers and students as the center,the cultivation of the habit of independent thinking,and the expansion of teachers′knowledge and students′horizons.
