Reflections on the Development of Compulsory Education in Rural-Urban Fringe Areas

城乡结合部义务教育在整个教育系统中占有重要的地位,有存在的必然性和发展的可能性;城乡结合部义务教育学校在发展过程中面临着经济发展不足、生源波动较大及教师质量有待提高等诸多问题和挑战;针对发展中存在的问题和挑战,政府要发挥好管理、引导和支持的作用,教育行政主管部门要有大智慧及学校自身要走出一条品质与特色并存的道路,来促进城乡结合部义务教育的健康发展。

Compulsory education in rural-urban fringe areas oc-cupies an important position in the entire education system,which has the necessity of existence and the possibility of devel-opment. Compulsory education schools in rural-urban fringe ar-eas are faced with the problems of insufficient economic develop-ment, large fluctuations in student sources and the poor quality ofteachers. In view of the problems and challenges in development,the government should give play to the role of management, guid-ance and support. The administrative department of educationshould have great wisdom and the schools themselves should stepout of a road of quality and features to promote the healthy devel-opment of compulsory education in rural-urban fringe areas.
