The cause of ulcerative colitis is not fully clear, and closely related to abnormal immune mechanism, genetic factors, the intestinal environment, infection factors, emotion factors and so on. This paper mainly discusses TCM emotion on the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis. The treatment should pay attention to Shugan Liqi, regulating the emotion, and cultivating good living habits.
