寒爵:“反共抗俄”语境下的鲁迅杂文遗风

Han Jue: His Essays in a Lu Xun Style, Written in the Anti-Communist and Anti-Russian Context

1949年败退台湾之后,国民党当局全面禁绝二三十年代大陆左翼文学,杂文作为左翼文学谱系中的重要文体,其发展受到限制,但此时仍有部分人认识到杂文独特的价值并希望能在台湾发展这一文体。寒爵就是其中的代表性人物。他的杂文和关于杂文的论述透露了他的鲁迅阅读经验;其杂文敢于批评社会、抨击特权,泼辣、犀利之言辞颇兼得鲁迅杂文之形;在一定的限度内,寒爵有意识地偏离"反共"的话语形态,作一种针砭时弊的批评,却因时代语境与个人思想之限制而不得鲁迅杂文之神韵。寒爵身为国民党文人,不断以幽微的方式向鲁迅致敬,其政治立场和文学偏好依违于"左""右"之间,成为台湾"戒严"期鲁迅接受的一种非常独特的中间形态,是鲁迅台湾传播脉络中不得不提的存在。

In 1949 when they retreated to Taiwan, the Kuomintang authorities had a total ban on the leftwing mainland Chinese literature of the 1920 s and 1930 s. As a result, the development of zawen(essays), an important genre in the leftwing literary lineage, was limited although a number of people realized its unique value and hoped that it could be developed in Taiwan,of whom Han Jue was the most representative. His essays and commentaries on essays reveal his reading experience in Lu Xun as they courageously criticize the society and attack the privileged, his fierce and sharp language much resembling the form of Lu Xun's style. Within the limits, Han Jue consciously detracted from the anti-Communist rhetoric by engaging in criticism of the current affairs. But because of the context of the time and the limitations to his ideology, he lacked in Lu Xun's spirit. As a Kuomintang man of letters, Han Jue kept paying respect to Lu Xun in his own subtle ways, keeping his political position and literary preferences between the left and the right, becoming a unique middle formation in the reception of Lu Xun during the Martial Law Period in Taiwan, someone that must be mentioned in the transmission of Lu Xun in Taiwan.
