On the Presence of Everyday Life in Design History Teaching

一般而言,设计史教学遵循以"优良设计"和设计师为中心的讲授模式,其排除了消费者的日常生活实践,传递给学生一种危险的信念:设计师的"优良设计"足以说服甚至迫使日常生活就范。我们通过对设计史教学的研究,指出要在设计史教学中引入一个关于日常生活实践的调查环节,促使学生在调查中体验日常生活对设计发展的重要意义。

Generally speaking, design history teaching follows the good design and designer centered mode which excludes the everyday life practice of ordinary consumers, a mode which sends the students a dangerous signal that a designer’s “good design” can change everyday life at will. The paper proposes to introduce an investigation of everyday life in normal design history teaching, which would encourage the students to experience the real world rather than mere aesthetic imagery.
