科举作为我国古代用人取士的核心渠道,从隋唐到明清发挥了非常重要的作用。在漫长的科考历程中,桂林作为岭南文教重地,产生了不少状元和大量的进士,在岭南地区乃至华南地区独领风骚。同时,桂林科举也深刻地参与到桂林传统文化的形成与塑造中,成为桂林传统文化中不容小觑的元素。文章基于此,首先概述了桂林辉煌的科考成绩以及繁盛的科考家族,并分析了桂林科举考试成绩显著的原因,最后介绍了桂林科举对桂林传统文化的渗透及其体现。

As an important means to select talented individuals in ancient China, the imperial examination played an essential role from Sui Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. Over the long history of the imperial examination, the number of candidates from Guilin who had successfully passed the palace examinations and were conferred the relevant government posts ranked the first in southern China. The imperial examination was involved in the formation and development of traditional Guilin culture, constituting an important component in the traditional culture of Guilin. With a brief introduction of the imperial examination in Guilin, the paper conducts an analysis into the extraordinary accomplishments achieved in the imperial examination and gives a detailed explanation of Guilin＇s imperial examinations＇ impact on Guilin culture and their manifestations.
