The Reform,Development and Challenge of Higher Education in Morocco

在殖民统治时期摩洛哥主要移植法国高等教育模式,这种精英教育模式对独立后的摩洛哥高等教育发展产生了许多负面影响。自20世纪末以来,为了解决高等教育发展中存在的问题,促使高等教育更好地适应国家经济和社会发展的需要,摩洛哥政府实施了面向21世纪的教育改革。经过十多年的发展,摩洛哥高等教育在扩大高等教育规模、完善高等教育制度和满足社会经济发展需要等方面取得了一定的进展。但由于历史与现实的原因,摩洛哥高等教育的发展仍然面临着诸多问题与挑战。

During the period of French colonial rule,Moroccan higher education followed French model.This kind of elite education model had many negative effects on the development of higher education in Morocco after independence. Since the end of 20 thcentury,the Moroccan government has implemented a number of educational reforms so as to solve the problems in the development of higher education and to promote higher education to meet the needs of national economic and social development. Although some achievements have been made in expanding the scale of higher education,improving the system of higher education and meeting the needs of social and economic development,the overall reform is not perfect. Due to historical and practical reasons,the development of higher education in Morocco still faces many problems and challenges.
