This paper first discusses the development of traditional jewelry design, and then conducts an in-depth research andanalysis of the process and characteristics of traditional jewelry design and 3D print jewelry design. Finally, the author points out themost suitable way for traditional jewelry design, that is, traditional jewelry design and 3D print jewelry design should complementeach other with tradition and fashion, and exert their respective advantages together, in order to find a new road that is not only inline with itself but also in line with the development of the times.
