The art design of The Legend of the Demon Cat tries to reflect the charm of literati painting and the artistic conception of the East. Tu Nan and Lu Wei think the artistic conception is created by the reality, including real plants, real props, the taste of life and the elegant atmosphere. Tu Nan and Lu Wei create Form and Spirit in Oriental Fairyland through the following ways： design Tang Dynasty according to the core of the film script, let the art design reveal the storyline, and make use of literati painting summing up the experience of oriental vision.
