摘要
拥有百余年历史的人民大学(Volkshochschule)是德国规模最大、最受重视的继续教育机构,具有终身教育、社会教育和补偿教育的功能。在办学过程中,人民大学秉承了"开放性"原则,让人民大学成为全社会可以"够得着"的继续教育机构。通过健康、语言和基础教育等类型的课程,人民大学促进了老年人、妇女、文盲、外国移民等"远离教育之人"的社会融合,成为德国的"第二教育通道"。
Volkshochschule,with a history of over one hundred years,is the largest and most important continuing education institution in Germany. It has the functions of providing lifelong education,social education and compensatory education. In the process of school running,Volkshochschule is adhering to the principle of ＂ Openness＂,so that it has turned into a ＂ reachable＂ continuing education institution by the whole society. Through providing the courses of health,language and basic education,Volkshochschule promotes the social integration of ＂ people far from the education＂ including the aged,women,illiterate persons and immigrants,and has become ＂ the second education channel＂ in Germany.
