摘要
内战后,在种族歧视根深蒂固的美国,黑人虽然在法律上获得了自由,但是在现实生活中却遭受着白人的种种不平等待遇。小说《冒充》中黑白混血儿克莱尔,在长相上和白人无异,然而在血缘方面,她却是黑人。为了获得物质和精神上的满足,克莱尔既想做白人又想做黑人,因此陷入了种族身份认同的困惑。从文学伦理学批评的视角,探析克莱尔的种族身份,能够揭示出美国社会中种族伦理秩序的混乱与荒谬。
After the American Civil War, in America where there is full of deep-rooted racism, although the African American get the nominal freedom, most of them suffer much unequal treatment in reality. In Passing, the mulatto, Clare has similar skin color with the white people, but she belongs to black in blood. In order to get the satisfaction in material and spirit, she desires for being both white and black, which results in her racial identity confusion. From the perspective of ethical literary criticism, the author explores and analyzes Clare's racial identity to disclose the disorder and absurdity of the racial ethical norms in America.
