抗战初期,冀东地区日伪军事力量强大,其特殊的地理位置也使得冀东地区抗日游击战争显得尤为困难。然而初期日军对中共军队的轻视,视其为土匪类似团体,采取的径直包围和直接突击的战术,加上治安军伪军的不堪,给了中共冀东游击队发展壮大的余地,中共冀东武装以生存和坚持为核心,终在艰苦的扫荡与反扫荡作战中站稳脚跟、发展壮大。

In the early period of the War of Resistance Against Japan,the military strength of Japanese and its puppet regime troops was very powerful in Jidong,the Eastern Part of Hebei Province,whose specific geographic location made it extremely difficult for the CCP troops to carry out the guerrilla fighting.However,the Japanese took the tactics of straight encircling and direct assaulting at the beginning due to their contempt for the Chinese troops as a gang of armed peasants,which left expanding space for the CCP to grow up and survive in the tough and dangerous situations.
