On January 2, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the appointment of Ambassador Qi Zhenhong as the President of China Institute of International Studies. The appointment ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Zheng Zeguang, Director-General Cao Zhongming and Counsellor Lin Dong from the Department of Personnel, and CIIS Executive Vice-President Ruan Zongze.
