Characteristics and Application of urine-derived stem cells in treatment of urological diseases

摘要 越来越多的证据显示干细胞是再生医学治疗的重要策略。干细胞治疗的有效性和低免疫原性提示干细胞的临床治疗可以提供更快速的治愈和更长久的疗效。人类尿源性干细胞(human urine-derived stem cells,hUSCs)是从尿液中分离、 Urine-derived stem cells (hUSCs) are stem cells isolated from adult urine with prolifera- tion and differentiation potentials. With much convenience to obtain in a minimally invasive manner and virtually no immunogenicity, these cells can be widely used in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. In recent years, increasing studies were reported to use hUSCs in repairing urinary tract injury with favorable out-comes, demonstrating bright prospects for clinical application of these ceils. Herein we review the current progress in the application of USCs in models of urinary system disease and assess the potentials and therapeutic mechanisms of these cells.
