This article introduces the main functions and features of HDPE membrane and GCL used as the water resistance material for the refuse landfill site. The author suggests that GCL and HDPE should be combined into a new integrated water resistance sheet in China by comparing it with the traditional materials in functions and prices and calls for making the standard for using this new type of material.
