考古学视域下的史前“时代”概念简说

On the Concept of the Prehistoric “Period” in the Archaeological Prospect

考古学研究中频繁使用的"时代"概念,是历史学纪年传统的学科特质。随着考古发现的不断开展与研究的逐渐深入,越来越多的"时代"概念被学者们提出并推广。这些概念的普及,一方面便于研究,另方面却造成了一些问题。有鉴于此,认为在使用这些"时代"概念时要审慎,需厘清相关"时代"概念所指时间范围,在研究中尽量使用既定概念,避免一味缔造新的术语。

The concept of ＂period＂ frequently used in the archaeological studies is the disciplinary peculiarity of the chronological tradition of historiography. Along with the continuing development of the archaeological fieldwork and the gradual deep-going of the archaeological studies, more and more concepts of ＂periods＂ are put forward and spread by the scholars. The popularization of these concepts, on one hand, provided conveniences for the studies; on the other hand, they also made some problems. Considering this, this paper points out that these ＂period＂ concepts should be carefully used, the time span of the given ＂period＂ should be clearly defined, and in the researches, the best way is to use the well-accepted concepts rather than to create new terms.
